    Tuesday 6 August, Ariane 5 completed a flawless launch from Europe’s spaceport at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), placing into geostationary transfer orbit two telecommunications satellites: Intelsat 39 for operator Intelsat, and EDRS-C for ESA and Airbus. The launch was Ariane 5’s 105th flight, its third in 2019 and the seventh of the year from the CSG.

    Tuesday 25 September, Ariane 5 will be sent aloft from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, to orbit two telecommunications satellites: Horizons 3e, built by Boeing for Intelsat and its partner SKY Perfect JSAT, and Azerspace-2/Intelsat 38, built by Space Systems Loral (SSL) for Azercosmos and Intelsat. The launch will mark Ariane 5’s 100th flight, its fourth in 2018 and the sixth of the year from the CSG.

  6. Next Ariane 5 mission set to launch SKY Brasil-1 and Telkom 3S satellites

    Tuesday 14 February, Ariane 5 will lift off from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, to place two new telecommunications satellites into orbit: SKY Brasil-1, built by Airbus Defence and Space, for operator AT&T/DIRECTV, and Telkom 3S, built by Thales Alenia Space, for operator Telkom Indonesia. This will be Ariane 5’s first flight in 2017, its 91st in all and the second launch of the year from the CSG.

    Monday 6 March, Vega will lift off from Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana carrying Sentinel-2B, the fifth satellite of the Copernicus constellation. The launch, conducted on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA) to serve the European Union (EU) and its citizens, will be the third this year from the Guiana Space Centre and mark Vega’s ninth flight.

    On Wednesday 15 July, Ariane 5 will take off from the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, to place two new satellites into orbit—Star One C4, a telecommunications satellite for South America’s biggest satellite operator, Brazilian private company Embratel Star One, and MSG-4, a weather satellite for EUMETSAT, the European agency dedicated to the monitoring of our weather, climate and environment. This will be the third launch of Ariane 5 this year, and the 80th launch of an Ariane 5 altogether.
