The Cassini probe which is exploring Saturn and its moons recently discovered a thin oxygen atmosphere around the Dione moon. The result, which come adding itself to similar cases, could eventually generalize the moons getting an exosphere idea.

With her partners from ESA and ASI, Alice Le Gall, investigator of LATMOS-IPSL, just showed using the radar data of NASA's Cassini that the dunes' dimensions on Titan (one of the Saturn's moons) vary according to the latitude and altitude. Because dunes do build-up only under certain conditions and their aspects reflect the environment in which they evolve, this information brought new reflection and response elements on the Titan's climatic and geological history.

Titan, Saturn’s biggest moon, is the only body in the Solar System -apart from Earth- to have a thick atmosphere. Nonetheless, the Cassini probe discovered clouds in it. These atypical clouds, made of droplets of methane and ethane, are closely studied by “transplanetary meteorologists” who try to unravel the mystery behind their formation and their spatial distribution
